Leaves is closed

It's a sad day for me to be typing this, but Leaves world is closing. My lease on the hosting server runs out during the last week of May. When the server shuts down, my world Leaves will close.

Leaves has an amazing history spanning 8 years. It has truely been an incredible journey. I value all of the friendships that I have made here. If any of your have interest to start your own world and copy some of your work from here, please let me know and I will try to help.

Why is it closing? Many things in my life have changed in the past year, including both work and family illnesses. As a result of these changes, I have not had to time to visit Leaves for weeks at a time. It is not practical to maintain a world that I don't have time to visit. This has nothing to do with Second Life. The Activeworlds software is amazing, and if I had more time, here is where I would be.

Will Leaves ever return? I hope so. Everything is fully backed up. Maybe later in the year I will have some time to start it up again..

Are you leaving also? No No No, I'll keep my citizenship. I have many friends here.
